River Kayak Trip Leader Assessment

The ACA River Kayak Trip Leader Assessment is a special class. This is really an assessment of your trip leadership skills. Although we teach a great deal of information on how to lead sucessful trips, you will be tested throughout the class and will receive a piece of paper that states whether you made the cut. This is a great class for scout masters and other frequent trip leaders.

The class is held locally along the Potomac. This is a two-day assessment that covers a great deal of trip planning, rescue, paddling, and other skills.   Lead instructors are ACA certified.  Class size is very limited so reserve your spot early - first come, first served.

Each paddler is responsible for bringing adequate boating, rescue, and first-aid gear. Part of the assessment is evaluating your gear to confirm whether it is adequate.
